MakerFaire, our first time as exhibitors

Let us turn our back on the MakerFaire Galicia! After being selected, we share Enginhum’s technological advice project with an exhibition space and a pitch. We revive this experience in this article.

The debut as exhibitors was in MakerFaire Galicia, specifically in the industry-oriented event. With this experience we could not only have a small exhibition space, we could also present the pitch of the company, 3 minutes to explain the Enginhum project.

In this article we review how we prepare the fair and our experience in it. We have also recreated the pitch so that everyone can listen to it.

Our presence in MakerFaire Galicia was not the result of improvisation, but of the result of preparation and planning time. Once our participation has been confirmed, we focus on preparing the exhibition space and guaranteeing its visual impact. In addition, we also dedicate key time to rehearsing the pitch, looking for the most concise and powerful way to transmit our project.

Logistics, the design of the exhibition space and internal coordination required a process that we tried to summarize in the following video:

Once the day of the fair and once in Santiago de Compostela, the energy and atmosphere of the space exceeded expectations. Once I list our exhibition space we were able to interact with potential partners, potential clients and other exhibitors.

Our peak moment reached the middle of the day, with our 3-minute pitch. This limited time forced us to be very concise in order to be able to present our project in its entirety. Thanks to the pitch we were able to expose our project to the entire audience transmitting the information of the technology 5.0, our mission and vision and our services in technological advice to all the audience.

Assessment of the day

A unique experience

The overall assessment of our participation is totally positive. Being selected as exhibitors and being able to expose the Enginhum project to a specialized audience offers new possibilities for the project. With this experience, we reaffirm our path to follow.
